How To Have A Successful Blog: 3 Tips You Must Know

Happy Friday Stylists. So good to have you back <3

What a WEEK this has been. With so much chaos and crisis happening in the world, lets take a break, and focus on some much needed blogger tips.

For today’s post I wanted to share some much needed tips for my blogger babes. I’ve talked about these before, but its always good to introduce them again – not just for new bloggers, but for those of us who are experienced who may need a gentle reminder.

Before I go on, I NEED to say – Blogging is NOT dead. This is not a stale industry. In fact, if you form a specific blogging strategy, choose a specific niche, and stay consistent – you WILL have a successful blog. Let’s dig deeper.

You need a blogging strategy  – What does this mean? The best thing you can do for yourself as a blogger is to stay innovative. People will digest content differently as time goes on, and Instagram may not be the number 1 social media platform. Like I’ve always said – as technology changes, so does the nature of our brand. It’s up to you as a blogger to keep up with the times, and strategize your brand so that you remain sustainable. Instagram may not be around forever, or you may have to pay for it, OR an app like Tik Tok may just wipe out Instafame. If you want to stay on the right track – spread your brand across as many social media platforms as you can (those that feel relevant to you), not Instagram.

Choose a specific niche – If you try and reach everybody, you’ll end up reaching nobody. Your blog content should attract the crowd you’re speaking to. For example, if you’re a fashion blogger and write about luxury fashion – are your readers and followers consumers who solely buy and wear luxury pieces? Know your audience, and write for them. I always try to focus my content to women between the ages of 20 – 40. My followers mostly fall into this category. They are bloggers, entrepreneurs, creatives, millennials, and fashioncentric women. So my content attracts women who fall into this group.

Expand Your Brand – Sis, I can’t stress to you enough how important it is to get creative and expand your blog. If we continue to do the same sort of thing, then we will come across as boring and predictable to our audience. Find ways to evolve. Try YouTube, IGTV, starting a podcast, OR – find ways to add a fun and new element to your blog. If you’re a beauty blogger for example – maybe try sharing your “beauty faves of the week” on Fridays. Create some excitement and incentive around your brand. In hindsight though, your blog will never stop evolving. You don’t just reach a goal, kick your feet up, then relax – you keep pushing.

Also keep in mind – you need to find the right balance. Having too much content isn’t a good thing either. You don’t want to overdo it because your audience will then feel overwhelmed. Consistency is the key, and I know its hard to keep up, but once you find your rhythm, you’ll be ok, and your brand will grow.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! Comment below and I’ll get back to you.

Thank you so much for reaching and stopping by babe, xoxo
