Thank You Baltimore, Next

Magic Monday!
Hello beautiful people. It’s a new week and a fresh start to make some real s*** happen! I am so excited this week, because I’m moving in TWO days. Hashtag OMG. That’s right. Ya girl is moving from the east coast to the west.
I’ve been consciously sharing details about my move to my Instagram followers, but haven’t yet said where. I know – I’m extra – but I wanted to do an actual video about everything instead of just mentioning it in my stories. I didn’t just want to say where I was going without giving yall the juice! Also, I’m a firm believer in being transparent with my audience and keeping it real about what ‘s happening in my life. Within 3 months, I moved from Buffalo to Baltimore (without having any idea of how long I’d be here), and now leaving Baltimore in 48 hours. Shit. Be. Crazy! But a goooood crazy. The entire vlog will be up this Wednesday on my YouTube Channel, so definitely check it out if ya wanna know where I’m headed.
For a long time I went back and forth about where I wanted to “live.” Now when I say live, I mean the place in the United States where I would always go back to. The place I can fix up my apartment or home with a ton of plants, a puppy, and minimal themed furniture and decor. Yea, I’ve clearly thought about this lol. The place where I want to make a home will be different than Buffalo, because Buff will always be home away from home. But I appreciate buffalo more when I’m not living there, and absolutely love the city for its beauty when I come back to visit. I think I am this way because I’ve traveled so much during and after college, so packing my bags and hopping on a plane was always easy. Now, is change and the thought of change, EVER easy? No! I’d be lying if I said it was. But, I live my life in a way that makes sense to me, so I’m ok with leaping blindfolded and diving in.
I definitely am going to live abroad for awhile as well, and if you know me, then you know Bali is my number one destination. I just love everything about Bali and definitely want to spend a good amount of time there. I prefer life abroad for so many reasons, which in fact, I’ll do a blog post on why I prefer life overseas.
But for now, I’ll be enjoying my last moments in Baltimore. Despite what people may hear, this truly is a great city. Yes, like all cities, there are the sketchy parts, but there’s so much beauty and fun things to do here too. I live in Upper Fells Point near Johns Hopkins, and I loved it here. I’m definitely a city girl, so living in close proximity to downtown Baltimore was perfect for me. I didn’t need a car, and Uber was always around if I needed to get somewhere or was too lazy to walk.
Fells Point is gorgeous. I think its the cobblestone roads that make it feel so cute and vintage. The aesthetic is amazing. There’s a few cafes in Fells that I always went to, and definitely some great spots to take your blogger photos.
It feels like I’ve been here longer than I have. I’ve met some good people here, and will definitely keep in touch with those who have shown me welcoming kindness. I love connecting with new people.
With that said, I am optimistic and positive about relocating. I always knew Baltimore would be a stepping stone, and it was never going to be my place. Although I like and appreciate this city for what it is, I know that there is something greater waiting for me.
I AM EXCITED. My vlog will go up on Wednesday, so be on the lookout for that. I can’t wait to take you on this never-ending, crazy, amazing, journey.
Thanks so much for reading babe, and I’ll see you next week – in my new home!
All my luv,
