breakfast n brunch feels

Saturday’s are my favorite days to sleep in (and by sleeping in I mean like 9:00 because I’m old now!), catch up on my Hulu and Netflix binge watching, and enjoy one of my favorite weekend breakfast meals. I love working out and eating healthy, so I thought I’d share with you my little piece of heaven I ate this weekend. I like to eat meals that ‘look’ good, fun and creative. Who wants to eat something boring? This week I experimented with toasts…yummy. I’m always inspired by other food bloggers who share the most creative looking meals, and toast is definitely gaining popularity on the food menu.

Trader Joe’s. I love me some Trader Joe’s. Initially, I thought their food would be over-priced and over-rated but I was so wrong. I spend the same amount of money at TJ’s than I would at Wegmans or Tops. Also, there are healthier food options here, especially with the meats. If you’ve never been to Trader Joe’s just check it out sometime and get a ‘feel’ for it. You may like it!

The Healthy Scratch again for lunch with my good friend Amanda. I recapped my first visit there in a previous blog post. She is also on a health and fitness journey, so we decided to be in it together! I ordered the Spicy Avocado Toast– bird seed bread, mango, avocado, onion, red pepper flakes, and chipotle crema sauce. It was delish! The toast is one piece but its a pretty decent size. I also picked up the Low Key Smoothie – kale, spinach, banana, organic almond milk, and rolled oats. So good people! Also you get two little cute oranges on the side….winning.
