Fashion and the arts in Buffalo is changing! I am so proud of the talent here in my city, and today marks one special event that I am so excited for. Queen City Fashion Week is here! The first event was on Tuesday at the Queen City Fashion Mixer at the Karpeles Hall building. It was such a great opportunity to meet new faces in the industry and hang out with old ones! I’ve always said that one day, Buffalo is going to make its mark in fashion. And look at what is happening – we are doing it! We are right between two major fashion and arts hubs – Toronto and New York City. There are so many advantages of living in an area like this and right now, so many talented artists are grabbing these opportunities.
For The Queen City Fashion Show I’m rocking the Textured One-Shoulder Bodycon Dress from Charlotte Russe. I fell in love with it the second I saw it. The fabric is stretchy and made to fit a woman’s curves. It has an asymmetrical hem as well, which gives the dress a unique look. Its sexy, classy, and absolutely gorgeous! This is one dress I cannot wear just once – I can’t wait to wear it again.
Nickel City Pretty (check out her blog!) and Elizabeth Siematkowski, the Editor in Chief of Buffalo Black Book at the Queen City Fashion Week Mixer. We had such a good time!
Vingt Cinq Rashaad and Bureau. My goodness! Vingt’s clothing line is all about urban street fashion, which you all know is right up my alley. Even the designs for men were appealing to me – its like I could rock any of those outfits in heels! The designs were minimal but each piece had its own flavor to it.
