When its 66 degrees outside with the sun shining bright, you obviously have the perfect weather for an outside photoshoot. Not too hot and not too cold. I dunno about you, but I tend to get hot for no reason during my photoshoots so this temperature was perfect.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to work with my good friend and amazing photographer Ashley Schaferer Laderer of Morning Glory Blog. She is incredibly easy to work with and her photos are soooo good.

My frequent readers know all about my perfect background and my photo theme. I go for the more industrial and urban look. And of course I am in love with graffiti walls. Yassssss street art. For this shoot we choose three locations around downtown Buffalo. For the first time in a long time I realized how pretty Buffalo truly is! Yea we get a bad rap for our horrendous winters and our sports teams (Go Bills!) but this weekend blfo looked beautiful. I’m very happy with the spots we chose. I like to use my neighborhood as my canvas. Taking shots around town that reflect an everyday person is the goal I set for myself. I want my readers to see me in the real world – in places that I actually hang out. To me, those are the most authentic photos.

The first location we shot is on Main St. at The Splash of Color Mural by Full Circle Studios, painted by muralists Jessie and Katey. Its a very bright and vibrant wall, and I love the way the different colors are blended together. For this shot I rocked a super cute black mini skirt, a black and white crop top, and a black leather jacket. Shoes of course, throughout the whole shoot, were low top converse. (I had like 5 different shoe options in my car haha…converse always looks good no matter the outfit). Ashley photographed me as gracefully as I hoped she would – everything felt so easy. I did my own poses and she just snapped away. Fun fact: people driving in their cars would wave and honk their horns while I was shooting – funniest thing ever, but we as bloggers always enjoy that 😉
