style + art

“People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish… but that’s only if it’s done properly.”

Ahhh……the search for the perfect painted wall continues. If you were to ever see me out in the streets, its most likely I’m standing next to a brightly colored graffiti background. Oh how I wish I were an artist! This past weekend I pranced around Allentown and found some amazing street art. Buffalo has so many hidden spots that I never knew existed. I’ve lived out of Buffalo for quite some time – so in many ways the city I grew up in is still a bit unfamiliar to me. And not to mention Buffalo is rising and changing! One spot I truly enjoy is Allentown. Centered around Allen Street and Elmwood Avenue, this area is one of Buffalo’s most vibrant spots for small boutique shopping, nightlife, architecture, and dining. Everything from the brightly colored houses, to the clean and beautiful streets, Allentown is definitely a place you want to visit.

And then comes my obsession with street art………

Make your neighborhood your photoshoot background

If you are someone like me who loves urban backdrops for your photos, then you would really enjoy this tiny village and all its architecture. I was walking with a friend of mine (aka my friend who I dragged along to take photos of me), and I saw the perfect spot to take a few shots. These walls were sooo dope! As a fashion blogger and music artist, art takes my imagination to a whole new level and inspires me in so many ways. Here are the photos my very talented photographer took. I hope you enjoy them, and thanks for reading!
